Fact: Teens bring fresh perspectives and adaptability, often mastering new skills quickly due to their tech-savvy nature.

I’ve heard this one a lot. People think because we’re young, we don’t know what we’re doing. But the truth is, we’re quick learners and super adaptable. We’ve grown up with technology and can pick up new skills faster than you’d think.

Myth 2: Teens can't handle the pressure of running a business.

Fact: Teens are resilient and can thrive under pressure, learning valuable stress management skills along the way.

Running a business is stressful, no doubt about it. But as teens, we’re resilient. We juggle school, extracurriculars, and social lives all the time. Managing a business just adds another layer of experience and teaches us how to handle stress even better.

Myth 3: Teens don't have access to resources.

Fact: Teens have access to a vast network and online resources, including free educational tools and supportive communities.

With the internet at our fingertips, we have access to a ton of resources. From free online courses to supportive communities and mentors, there’s so much out there to help us succeed. You just have to know where to look.

Myth 4: Teen businesses are just hobbies.

Fact: Teen businesses can be profitable and impactful, contributing to significant economic and social change.

Fact: Teens can build strong networks through school clubs, online communities, and youth entrepreneur programs.

Why: Most teens haven't had the chance to study business formally, making it tough to grasp complex concepts.

How to Overcome: Leverage online courses, educational YouTube channels, and mentorship programs to build your business knowledge. Sites like Coursera, Khan Academy, and even specific business podcasts can be super helpful.

Challenge 2: Navigating Age-Related Restrictions and Biases

Why: Legal and societal norms often impose age restrictions on things like signing contracts or getting funding.

How to Overcome: Seek adult co-signers or partners, and focus on building a strong business case to counteract age biases. Don't be afraid to ask for help – having an adult on board can open doors that might otherwise stay closed.

Challenge 3: Overcoming Parental Skepticism or Resistance

Why: Parents may worry about the risks and distractions entrepreneurship could pose to your education and personal development.
